THE RAISING LIONS COMMUNITY

Parenting is personal.
You don’t have to think alone.

About 500 families. A private WhatsApp community. A shared commitment to raising capable, independent kids.

WHAT JOINING LOOKS LIKE

Bring the question
you’re living with.

The value is in the exchange: context from another family, a question you hadn’t considered, or a practical idea worth trying.

Conversations happen in our private WhatsApp community. The Field Guide gives you another place to start, with exercises to use in your own home.

01

Share your context

What is your family deciding? What have you tried? Where could another perspective help?

02

Compare experiences

Learn how other parents think about responsibility, technology, resilience, and independent judgment.

03

Make it your own

Adapt an idea to your child and circumstances. Bring back the lessons, including what did not work.

TIME TOGETHER

Beyond the conversation.

Parents and children together in a garden surrounded by palms and cacti.Adults and children gathered in front of a small red house at a building site.

THE WAY WE SHOW UP

Curiosity. Responsibility.
Something to contribute.

Bring a thoughtful question, a useful experience, or the willingness to examine your own assumptions. Leave room for another family to make a different choice.

The practical details.

Where does the community meet?

Our community currently connects on WhatsApp. The website is where you can explore the ideas, use the Field Guide, and apply to join.

Who is Raising Lions for?

Intentional parents raising capable, responsible kids. Moms and dads are welcome. You do not need a particular profession or background; curiosity, thoughtful disagreement, and contribution are what matter.

What is expected of members?

Bring something useful: a real parenting question, an experience, or a perspective. Listen carefully, respect different family circumstances, and protect the privacy of other families. You do not need a perfect answer to contribute.

Who is behind Raising Lions?

Raising Lions was founded by Jay Bourgana. The community brings parents together to compare experience and think through the decisions of family life.
