APPLICATION INFORMATION

Your application stays private.

When you apply, Raising Lions collects your name, email address, location, children’s ages, written answers, referral information if provided, and the time you consented and submitted.

Why we collect it

We use these details to assess membership fit and contact you about your application. The separate newsletter checkbox is optional. Applying does not subscribe you to the Field Guide unless you select it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter without withdrawing your membership application.

Where it goes

Applications are stored in the website’s database using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. They are available to authorized site administrators for application review and are not published on the website. Only if you choose the newsletter do we send your first name and email address to Kit. We record that choice and whether Kit accepted the signup. We do not send your application answers, location, or children’s ages to Kit.

Keep children’s details limited

Provide ages only. Please do not include children’s full names, school names, health information, or other sensitive personal details.

Changes and removal

Contact jay@raisinglions.club to request correction or removal of your application information. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link.

The Field Guide

The newsletter page embeds a signup form hosted by Kit. Opening it connects your browser to Kit, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and use cookies under its privacy policy. Kit processes your signup details and manages confirmation emails, newsletter delivery, and unsubscribe preferences. New subscribers are asked to confirm their email. You can subscribe without applying for membership. Earlier essays remain linked on Substack, which applies its own privacy terms when you visit. Downloading or using a Field Guide exercise does not submit your completed answers.
